Rallying for Resilience

What if we shifted from believing we have fixed brain traits to focusing on dynamic processes that lead to growth and development? What if we moved from labeling people with generic terms like ADHD and instead focused on specific conditions unique to each individual? Innovation as a Turbo Thinker©

I’ve been reading a lot lately about the coming AI revolution. The thing that I keep thinking is… thank goodness for Turbo Thinkers! As technological innovation advances, we may be left to wonder, “What is the point? Advantages of Exercise with ADHD

In recent years, more and more of us find ourselves working from home, working at a desk, and Zoom weary. How about a walk to get the blood flowing to the brain while improving mood and cognitive function? Don’t just do it for your body. Do it for your brain! I need it too! Exercise naturally boosts the key neurotransmitters: serotonin (mood), norepinephrine (focus), and dopamine (reward-system, movement). Exercise and COVID

Since having attended Dr. John Ratey’s keynote presentation at the International ADHD Conference, I have been jazzed about exercise. It has been a lot easier to get out of bed and out the door for a run in the neighborhood or on the track. I can stay on my yoga mat longer and go deeper. I can enjoy my weekend bike rides and skate jams with even more fervor. I have seen the scientific evidence that I can improve my executive function skills and my emotional regulation just by moving my body.

Why ADHD Is An Important Discussion

The global ADHD market size is expected to reach $24.9 billion by 2025. People need these services. 1 in 20 adults in the US has ADHD, but fewer than 20% of them seek out treatment. This is most likely due to both cost, and lack of awareness of options (such as ADHD coaching).
