Walk & Talk Sessions
One of my favorite ways of socializing during the pandemic has been the “walk & talk” visit. Sometimes I take my dog, and with a six foot leash, we can easily gauge a safe social distance from my friends. The walk & talk visit allows for so many opportunities:
(1) You get to exercise! Sometimes we walk slowly, sometimes we walk briskly, sometimes we run. I let my friends choose the pace, though I admit that sometimes I push them if we are wearing exercise clothes anyway.
(2) You get to activate your brain! The best ideas and deepest conversations occur during these on-the-go visits. And they are even better than bar talk, because we actually remember them.
(3) I get to meet them in different parts of the city to explore on foot - observing more details than I would by car or by bike.
At one point this week, I lamented that I cannot walk & talk with my clients around the world. Then I realized that I actually can - virtually! So, I am now proposing the walk & talk option for coaching sessions. For the same price, you get your groove on and move through the barriers and limiting beliefs that hold you back. You also get:
Built-in exercise at your own pace
All-weather commitment
A reliable accountability partner
An audio recording of the session
Social distancing
Physical and cognitive fitness
Don’t just do it for your body. Do it for your brain! A walk-and-talk session will also help:
Lower stress levels
Reduce inflammation
Improve blood flow to the brain
Increase the thickness of the cerebral cortex
Improve the integrity of your white matter, the nerve fibers that connect areas of the brain’s nerve-cell-rich gray matter
Promote neuroplasticity - your brain’s ability to form new neural connections
Improve memory
So join me in getting groovy! Sign up for your walk & talk sessions now.
