Walk & Talk Sessions

One of my favorite ways of socializing during the pandemic has been the “walk & talk” visit. Sometimes I take my dog, and with a six foot leash, we can easily gauge a safe social distance from my friends. The walk & talk visit allows for so many opportunities:

(1) You get to exercise! Sometimes we walk slowly, sometimes we walk briskly, sometimes we run. I let my friends choose the pace, though I admit that sometimes I push them if we are wearing exercise clothes anyway.

(2) You get to activate your brain! The best ideas and deepest conversations occur during these on-the-go visits. And they are even better than bar talk, because we actually remember them.

(3) I get to meet them in different parts of the city to explore on foot - observing more details than I would by car or by bike.

At one point this week, I lamented that I cannot walk & talk with my clients around the world. Then I realized that I actually can - virtually! So, I am now proposing the walk & talk option for coaching sessions. For the same price, you get your groove on and move through the barriers and limiting beliefs that hold you back. You also get:

  • Built-in exercise at your own pace

  • All-weather commitment

  • A reliable accountability partner

  • An audio recording of the session

  • Social distancing

  • Physical and cognitive fitness

Don’t just do it for your body. Do it for your brain! A walk-and-talk session will also help:

  • Lower stress levels

  • Reduce inflammation

  • Improve blood flow to the brain

  • Increase the thickness of the cerebral cortex

  • Improve the integrity of your white matter, the nerve fibers that connect areas of the brain’s nerve-cell-rich gray matter

  • Promote neuroplasticity - your brain’s ability to form new neural connections

  • Improve memory

So join me in getting groovy! Sign up for your walk & talk sessions now.
