Turbo Thinkers© Will Be the Ones to Succeed

In a world being transformed by automation and artificial intelligence, Turbo Thinkers will be the ones to succeed. We are the ones who ask questions. Driven by curiosity and a lifelong love of learning, Turbo Thinkers explore from a global and even universal perspective. We also dive into details driven by intense passion. Our turbo thinking minds go both wide and deep. We are wonderers and wanderers, and we are the ones who drive innovation to change the world. In comparison, the ones who only know answers are easily replaced by machines.

From Richard Branson to the founders of Ikea… many entrepreneurs and legendary achievers talk about what ADHD gave them*. To hear some of these stories, I highly recommend this podcast episode, “Succeeding with ADHD” with Morra Aarons-Mele.  ADHD diagnosis or not, many high performers have turbo-charged brains and the strengths that entails (e.g. curiosity and complex thinking).  Still, sometimes we struggle in a world that was designed for neurotypical people. Since the pandemic, I have seen an incredible amount of executives and other high achievers suddenly in a state of stress and overwhelm. Their brains are in overdrive, they are working to exhaustion, scattered, scrambling, and feeling ashamed by not “living up to their potential.” Personal relationships suffer, as does their health and motivation. They have lost their mojo and they want it back! The world has changed and so have they. They want more purpose and fulfillment, more meaning and more direction. They want to be able to focus and manage their time in a way that makes sense to them. In this rapidly changing world, our paradigm has shifted. We are working remotely with information at our fingertip (both a bane and a boon to Turbo Thinkers). These executives seek a paradigm shift within themselves. They are ready to step into a higher version of themselves, to feel both calm and confident. Only they don’t know how. Circumstances have derailed them, creating feelings of frustration, failure, and shock.  Interestingly, when 442 executives were asked to reflect on which experiences most advanced their professional development and had the most impact on making them better leaders, three distinct themes arose— surprise, frustration, and failure—cognitive, emotional, behavioral**. So their struggles– the same struggles expressed by many who I work with– were their biggest motivators in their future success. Turbo Thinking brains struggle with the ability to pause, reflect, and execute– three crucial steps for success. With intention we can develop these skills and unblock the superpower of our unique brains!

The ability to self reflect precedes the ability to self regulate. Through Mind Coach programs, we not only hone your skills in developing awareness of how your brain works best, but also develop the executive-function and emotional-regulation skills to regulate your thoughts, emotions, and actions. By learning the tools and building a practice, you will unleash the courage to create your own success and switch from the dreamer to the achiever you are.

Book a free consult or register today for Turbo Think Tank, the program begins February 1st!
