Strength in Numbers: We're Better Together

I just returned from Philadelphia, where I attended the 2019 Annual International Conference on ADHD. I was honored to receive the PAAC PCAC credentialing in a beautiful awards ceremony, with a touching personal speech by my sponsor, Dr. Alan Graham, MCAC. There are only a handful of Master ADHD Coaches in the world, and to be so recognized and supported by them put me on cloud nine.

The conference brought together not only coaches, but all kinds of professionals from around the globe, specialized in the treatment of ADHD. Additionally, there were many adults with ADHD, educators and family members of those with ADHD. In short, it was the international version of our upcoming NOLA version: Turbo Thinktank™

Every year I have attended the international conference, I return thinking, “Wouldn’t it be great to create this for the New Orleans community, in my hometown?” So I finally made it happen. This year’s theme in Philadelphia was “Better Together”. I feel that our theme for Turbo Thinktank™ is also “Better Together”. Together we can support each other, sharing the trials and tribulations of living with ADHD. Together we can collaborate, identifying how we can combine different treatments for a multimodal approach to ADHD wellness. Together we can unite and speak out about what the ADHD brain needs and what we need as individuals and a community to overcome challenges and succeed. Together we can reduce the stigma and embrace the plethora of positive possibilities that living with ADHD offers us. There is strength in numbers. Alone we are good, but we are better together.
