Pura Vida

I just returned from a stunning trip to Costa Rica, where I had the opportunity to stay in a tiny cabin at the base of a volcano. My trip overflowed with the simple pleasures of immersing myself in nature, eating simple, whole foods, feeling love and living pura vida. I could be fully present and mindful while appreciating every moment with eternal gratitude.

I found it interesting that when I returned to work on Monday, three of my clients that day also shared their desire for fewer, better things in 2022. Back home, in the United States, I have so many choices. As Turbo Thinkers, we see endless possibilities, so too many choices can paralyze or overwhelm us.

What if we flip it and ask ourselves what we truly want, rather than choose from what is offered? Without thinking about what we should have or should do, without comparing ourselves to others, how can we get super clear and specific on what our unique brains need to be our true selves? How can we put our time and energy towards that and only that and let go of the rest? How can we be brave enough to truly let go of every single thing that is not in alignment with what we really need? We could make space for fewer and better things unapologetically. We could be fully present and enjoy them with peace and gratitude. We could live our own pura vida.
