#1 Tip for Turbo Thinkers©
Someone recently asked me, “What is the #1 piece of advice you’d give to Turbo Thinkers?” I thought about it for a moment, then replied, “Be yourself.” If only it were so easy and I have to recognize that it’s sometimes a difficult task.
In order to be yourself, you need to know and radically accept yourself—really know who you are, what makes you tick, what helps you thrive. You identify what makes your heart sing, what makes you leap out of bed in the morning, what gives you peace to sleep through the night. You go through a process of rediscovering yourself. You learn to celebrate your tested keys to success and how your unique brain works best. With encouragement you allow yourself to see past limiting beliefs and discover who you are meant to become.
What does that future-self want you to know? What do they want you to do? How do they want you to feel? With this knowledge, you can clear the path, ask for help, set boundaries, support yourself, and do whatever it takes to let yourself succeed, using all of your strengths and talents to their fullest potential. You can achieve happiness, balance and fulfillment. You own your superpower. You create your own path. You make it happen. And all you have to do is dare to be yourself.
A long standing client said it best today, “The difference is that now I’m chilled out about myself. I’m grateful and hopeful. Now I get that the point is not to change myself. It’s not to fix me or cure my ADHD. Curing my ADHD would make me a boring person and I need to kick butt. I’ve learned to work with what I’ve been gifted. I’m proud of myself!” I’m so proud of her too!
