Let's Talk Coaching

When I first discovered ADHD coaching, I yearned to help high school and college students. I saw that their academic struggles related to their turbo thinking brains. I wanted to help the whole child rather than slap a band aid on a symptom of a bigger problem. While very often their parents wanted me to fix them, they did not want to be fixed, nor did they need to be fixed! They just wanted mom and dad off their backs. They just wanted to not fail. They wanted solutions that related to executive function skills and emotional control.

As my coaching experience and education grew, so did my target group and my interests. I had the honor of working with so many fascinating brains! Eventually, I landed on my niche: adults with ADHD. I particularly enjoy working with entrepreneurs, location independent creatives and digital nomads. These are Turbo thinkers that are following their passions, taking risks, and moving to the beat of their own drum. I want to help them be the best version of themselves with the tools and support structures they need. Just like Formula 1 race cars require pit stops to change their tires, I want to give them the ability to pause their turbo thinking brain to make rational decisions with ease and confidence. I want to help them discover what their brains need to succeed and give them the courage to ask for it. I want to give them permission to forgive themselves for not meeting unrealistic expectations and to do things their own way. I want to help them dream of a future they had not thought possible...and take steps towards that future. I want to help them rewrite the narrative of their lives in order to see opportunities and seize them. I want to help them hear their current story, become less attached to that story, articulate a new story, refine that new story, begin actions to step into it, and inhabit that new story. I want to help them move from suffocation to illumination.

Ample research has been done on the efficacy of coaching for the treatment of ADHD. I get to witness the growth and development of my clients. I get to see them achieve a greater sense of happiness and fulfillment. I really do have the best job in the world.
