Embracing Change as a Turbo Thinker©

Thank you, COVID-19 for providing me with the opportunity to reinvent myself. You have pushed me to get out of my comfort zone, to let go, to seek new solutions and to learn from my mistakes. You have made me the Regent of Resilience. You have thrown changes into my face, like a glass of ice water. Thanks.

You have made me embrace change as an integral aspect of life. I have a choice and I choose life. I choose to embrace change. I could have remained stuck in rut, but staying within the confines of your comfort zone means that you slowly die.

Do you choose to slowly die or to live?

Our instinct is to fight change.  Turbo thinkers tend to struggle with transitions. This is normal. Whether they are small, like switching from one task to the next, or large, like moving across the country, we have been forced to change, perhaps unwillingly. How can you embrace change? Luckily Turbo thinkers also love novelty. All things bright, shiny and new stimulate the brain with exciting hits of dopamine.

How can you reframe your transition so that your brain gets excited about the novelty? How can you anticipate the abundance that awaits you and trust that it’s right around the corner? How can you see the opportunity for growth and development? How can you imagine what your future self will feel and think, looking back on this moment when you decided to take the first step towards becoming your highest self?
