Self-Care for Turbo Thinkers©

I recently read an article, How to Make a Self-Care Checklist That Actually Works for You.

Self-care is not the same as self soothing. Turbo Thinkers deserve just as much care as anyone else. What happens when you not only give yourself permission to practice self-care, but when you actually PRIORITIZE self-care? What if you could plan and schedule self-care FIRST? How would that impact your mood and energy?

Self-care can take many forms. How can you honor your physical, mental and emotional needs? How do you know what you specifically need to care for yourself? How do you want to feel on a regular basis? What types of activities (or non-activities) would promote this feeling? What has worked in the past? How can you achieve this in the easiest and most simple way? How often do you need this now? Is it daily, weekly, monthly or yearly?

We don’t need to come up with the perfect self-care routines for all time. We can be open to experiment and see what works. We can take a first step and be open to tweaking the plan as needed. We can expect to learn from the process and we can call the experience progress. What first step can you take right now?
